Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Our fees vary depending on the service you require and the complexity of the project.
The majority of our services are completed on an agreed fixed fee based on the drawings and information provided. Where a fixed scope has not yet been achieved, we can undertake work on an hourly fee.
Get in touch with your drawings and the service you are afer and we can provide you with our fee.Builders are experts in building, while Quantity Surveyors are experts at valuing and pricing construction costs. We provide a professional opinion of construction costs based on your specific drawings & specifications and is supported by construction knowledge & current market data. Because we are a third party, our assessments are impartial, consistent, and not influenced by delivery pressures or commercial interests.
While we understand that engaging a Quantity Surveyor is an upfront cost, it often prevents far greater costs later. Risks that Quantity Surveyors minimise include missed scope gaps, pricing errors and poor budget management during the build. These risks result in cost overruns and usually exceed the upfront cost of engaging with a Quantity Surveyor.

Construction involves constant decisions, financial commitments, and technical discussions. This can be difficult to manage alongside work and family commitments.
We act as an independent advisor, working alongside your builder to protect your interests. This can include reviewing progress claims and invoices, assessing variation costs, responding to construction queries, and advising on timeframes and budgets. This oversight often reduces stress, avoids unnecessary costs, and provides confidence that decisions being made during construction are fair, reasonable, and properly justified.
